Lead-Gen Platforms In LA Top 4

SERPs Captured
Method: live Google SERPs pulled via DataForSEO (mobile, top 10) for Los Angeles, Phoenix, Dallas and Houston on 2026-10-07 — Phoenix required the qualified term
home ev charger installation phoenix because the plain term's top 10 was entirely social posts, Craigslist and charging-locator directories. The top 2 organic sites per city were torn down at source level (directories, forums and marketplaces excluded — lead-gen platforms profiled and tagged, since they are proof of the model): sitemap inventories, title/meta/H1 verbatim, JSON-LD schema, forms and hidden fields, chat and tracking vendors, offers and guarantees verbatim. SERP positions are a point-in-time snapshot.1. The map pack is free real estate. All 12 map-pack slots across the four markets are public charging stations — Electrify America, PowerFlex, Blink, ChargePoint, Monta, Tesla Supercharger, Shell Recharge (2.5–4.7★, single digits to 61 votes). Not one installer ranks locally for the money term: Google reads “ev charger installation” as “where to charge.” A real installer Google Business Profile with a review engine owns this from day one (all four city pages carry the exact pack lines).
2. The quote wizard is the conversion frontier. Smart Charge America’s 8-step photo-upload wizard with “Xpress Install” instant pricing, pay-at-checkout and front-of-line scheduling is the single best conversion mechanic in the field — and it sits on a national platform, not a local contractor site. Nobody local has anything close (Los Angeles page).
3. Price and rebate transparency is the content moat. Treehouse publishes an all-in range “$1,500-$2,750” and itemizes LADWP rebates ($1,000 Charge up LA + $250 EV meter + $500 income-eligible); Mr. Electric’s geo pages carry the SRP $250 / APS $25+$5 rebate math and $200–$900 unit anchors. Google’s AI overviews quote these pages verbatim — the pages that publish numbers get cited.
4. Conversion infrastructure is bimodal — nobody has both halves. National platforms ship chat/SMS/financing (Synchrony 0%/18-mo, Wisetack, Hearth) but hide phones and skip license numbers; local contractors ship coupons, memberships and license proof (Adis Electric: sticky $25-off code, 8 expiring coupons, $10/mo “Electric Club”, license #26917 in every hero, CallRail, LocalBusiness+AggregateRating+Review schema) but no pricing, no booking, no EV content. The winner combines Adis-grade trust with Smart Charge America-grade buying (Pattern Library rows make the split visible).
5. Three universal gaps nobody fills. (a) Zero urgency or timing language anywhere — this is a planned purchase, so the timing lane is “charger installed before your EV lands” plus permit handling, not “24/7 emergency”; (b) schema is almost absent — only Adis Electric (full LocalBusiness set) and EV Blocks (geo LocalBusiness on ~30 location pages) ship any; (c) city pages are thin — Lonestar Integrated Solutions ranks #1 in Dallas on a ~500-word page with zero conversion infrastructure. Beating the field is mostly showing up complete.
SERP Landscape
Map Pack — top 3 per market (the startling part)
| Market | # | Business | Rating | Votes | What It Actually Is |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Los Angeles | 1 | Electrify America Charging Station, 850 N Broadway | 3.0★ | 51 | charging station |
| 2 | PowerFlex Charging Station, 313 N Figueroa St | 4.0★ | 2 | charging station | |
| 3 | PowerFlex Charging Station, 111 S Grand Ave | 2.5★ | 2 | charging station | |
| Phoenix | 1 | EVPassport Charging Station, 101 E Washington St | — | — | charging station |
| 2 | Blink Charging Station, 185 N 2nd St | 5.0★ | 1 | charging station | |
| 3 | ChargePoint Charging Station, CityScape | 4.7★ | 3 | charging station | |
| Dallas | 1 | Monta Charging Station, 496 S Good Latimer Expy | 3.6★ | 25 | charging station |
| 2 | Tesla Supercharger, S Riverfront Blvd #801 | 3.9★ | 61 | charging station | |
| 3 | ChargePoint Charging Station, Dallas City Hall | 4.2★ | 5 | charging station | |
| Houston | 1 | Shell Recharge, 214 Main St #208 | 4.2★ | 17 | charging station |
| 2 | Shell Recharge, 216 Tuam St | 4.2★ | 25 | charging station | |
| 3 | Tesla Supercharger, 401 Franklin St | 2.5★ | 38 | charging station |
0 of 12 map-pack slots are installers. Every pack in every market serves charging-station intent, not installation intent. The local pack for the money term is effectively unclaimed — the biggest single opening this study found.

| 8–9 | Yelp, Mr. Electric of Dallas | directory | Mr. Electric franchise page eligible but below cutoff | |

Ads signal (Houston): the SERP carried a Google Guaranteed LSA block of local electricians — West Houston Electric (4.9★ / 2,500 votes, 35+ years), The Local Electrician, Air Tech, Right Touch Electrical and more — proving paid buyers are already paying for these leads. Dallas also showed a Phoenix-style Facebook/Craigslist long tail. AI overviews in Phoenix, Dallas and Houston cited installer pages by name (ChargerPro’s “starting at $895” flat rate made the Dallas overview) — another reason to publish prices.
The Ultimate EV Charger Installation Site Spec
Best of every profiled site, field’s shared failures excluded. Every item names its source.
1. Site Architecture
- Homepage + price page with an all-in install range and a “what moves the number” panel (Treehouse: “$1,500-$2,750”; Mr. Electric: $200–$900 unit anchors).
- Rebates & incentives hub, one page per utility territory with itemized dollar amounts (Treehouse’s LADWP ledger; Mr. Electric’s SRP $250 / APS $25+$5 math) — the AI-overview citation magnet.
- Service pages per charger type: Tesla Wall Connector, ChargePoint Home Flex, Emporia, Wallbox, NEMA 14-50 outlet installs, panel upgrades / load calculations (NEC Article 625), plus “EV charger + solar” and V2H/bidirectional (Black Platinum’s expansion pages).
- City pages at
/ev-charger-installation/<city>/(Treehouse’s 14) or/geo/<city>-ev-charger-installation(Mr. Electric’s exact-match pattern) — 10–12 metro pages with real local content, not swapped city names. - Special pages: rebates, financing, warranty, gallery of local installs, FAQ. Skip careers/commercial until there is a fleet.
2. Homepage Anatomy (top to bottom, in order)
- Sticky header: click-to-call phone + “Get My Price” button (+ sticky coupon strip à la Adis’s “$25 Off Code ADIS25”).
- Hero: exact-match H1 “EV Charger Installation in [City]”, price anchor subhead, primary quote CTA + tel: link.
- Price transparency block: all-in range + 3 price drivers (panel capacity, wire run, permit).
- Rebate block for the local utility territory.
- Charger options grid + OEM certified-installer badge row (Treehouse’s 12: Tesla, Ford, ChargePoint, Rivian, Toyota…).
- How it works in 4 steps: photo upload → instant price → permit handled → install (Smart Charge America’s wizard flow, localized).
- Permit & code handling block (NEC Art. 625, load calc, city permit — Mr. Electric’s localized copy pattern).
- Why-us guarantees (EPX’s three-part Safety / Transparent Pricing / Professionalism promise).
- Review wall (EPX’s 76 full-text Google reviews via Trustindex, or Adis’s live Google carousel).
- Service-area map + city links, FAQ with FAQPage schema (Treehouse’s 8 Q&As), financing strip (Synchrony / Wisetack / Hearth), final quote form.
3. Offer Stack
| Offer | Steal from | Why it works |
|---|---|---|
| Photo-upload quote wizard + instant “Xpress” pricing + pay-at-checkout + front-of-line scheduling | Smart Charge America | Category-best conversion mechanic; turns a quote form into a checkout |
| Published all-in price range ($1,500–$2,750) | Treehouse | Pre-qualifies leads and gets quoted by AI overviews |
| Rebate ledger per utility ($1,000 Charge up LA + $250 EV meter + $500 income-eligible; SRP $250; APS $25+$5/mo) | Treehouse / Mr. Electric | Only content the homeowner can’t get from the charger maker |
| Sticky $25-off code + expiring coupons | Adis Electric / Mr. Electric | Cheap urgency; codes track which page converted |
| $10/mo membership: 10% off + doubled warranty | Adis Electric | The only recurring-revenue play in the field — recurring tier seed |
| Financing: Synchrony 0%/18-mo, Wisetack, Hearth (soft-pull) | Smart Charge America / Treehouse / EPX | Removes the panel-upgrade objection |
| Warranty ladder: 2-yr labor (Treehouse) / “3+ year” (SCA) / 1-yr Done Right Promise (Mr. Electric) | all three | Make one clean promise: 2-year labor warranty, written |
| Qmerit partnership badge | Black Platinum | Borrowed authority for the “who is in my garage” fear |
4. Trust Stack
- License number in every hero — Adis #26917 and EPX TECL 31161 are the only ones who do it; be the third.
- Review proof with counts: 4.8★ Google + “3 Best Electricians in Plano” (Adis), 76 full-text reviews (EPX), BBB A+ (Treehouse, Adis).
- OEM certified-installer badge row (Treehouse’s 12) + one superlative you can defend (SCA: “installed more Tesla Wall Connectors than anyone else on earth”).
- Named technician photo/bio promise (Adis), local install gallery, insurance + permit-pull proof.
5. Conversion
- Quote flow: short (4–6 fields) + photo upload of the panel/garage + promised response time (EPX: one business day) — never a 10-field solar-qualification form (Black Platinum’s mistake).
- Click-to-call + “Call or Text” (EPX), SMS opt-in with full TCPA language (SCA), online booking (Mr. Electric’s Easy Online Booking multi-step with SMS + email opt-ins).
- Call tracking from day one (Adis: CallRail; EPX: (800) 770-1394 vs main line) so pages can be ranked by revenue, not visits.
- Timing CTA, the open lane: “Charger installed before your EV lands — permits pulled same week.”
6. SEO & Schema
- Exact-match H1 + URL per city (“EV charger installation in Los Angeles” /
/ev-charger-installation/los-angeles— Treehouse pattern). - Schema nobody ships but everyone should:
ElectricianLocalBusiness +Service+AggregateRating+FAQPage(Adis has the fullest set; Treehouse has FAQPage only). - Geo LocalBusiness + auto-routing on multi-location plays (EV Blocks’ hidden Dynamic-Text fields route leads to the nearest producer — steal for multi-metro drops).
- Rebate + price pages as the link-earning layer; internal links from every city page to price, rebates and FAQ.
7. Review Engine
- Live Google review carousel on the homepage (Adis: GrowNearby plugin) or a full-text Trustindex wall (EPX) — pick one, ship both pages.
- Post-install SMS review request with the direct Google review link (Treehouse publishes the link but no count — do counts).
- Per-city review walls on city pages; badges for Yelp/BBB/Angi (Adis, Complete-grade) beside them.
8. Do-Not List (observed failures, verbatim sources)
- Don’t hide the phone (Smart Charge America’s homepage) or bury tel: in the footer (Treehouse).
- Don’t put an Orange County number on your LA page (SCA’s 714) — local numbers per market.
- Don’t ship two H1s per page (SCA) or leave /sample-page/ and dead social icons in the sitemap (Lonestar).
- Don’t copy-paste geo pages with wrong-city leftovers (“Contact our Austin team” on EPX’s Houston page).
- Don’t gate a homeowner quote behind a 10-field solar qualification (Black Platinum).
- Don’t let a supplier-directory card be your #1 organic result (EV Blocks) — the intent belongs to installers.
- Don’t skip license numbers, urgency/timing language, or schema — all three are empty lanes in all four markets.

Read the columns: every column except city pages is half empty — and no row has more than three strong cells. Membership has exactly one adopter (Adis’s $10/mo Electric Club), chat has zero, license numbers have two, full schema has one. A drop template that fills Offers + Booking + Reviews + License + Schema in one ship beats every site in this matrix.
Next Steps
- Template feed: the Ultimate Spec’s quote wizard, rebate ledger page, OEM badge row and timing CTA go straight onto the must-ship list for the Ultimate EV Charger Installation drop.
- Recurring tier pricing: nobody sells a membership except Adis’s $10/mo Electric Club (10% off + doubled warranty) — charger maintenance + annual load/panel check is the obvious recurring offer.
- Format check: both LA winners are lead-gen platforms and Houston’s #1 is a B2B supplier card — the fleet’s lead-gen tagging stays, since who ranks IS the finding.
